Currently uses a Martin Darcy bow and is easily reaching all the distances.

After receiving the Wooden Spoon in 2007 in the overall averages, she showed steady improvement throughout 2008 which allowed her to win the prestigious Best Improvers trophy.

At the 2009 Fraternity of St George Champagne Shoot, Joan came 2nd in the Ladies Flight Shoot and Cloth of Gold events. In 2010 she won the Ladies Cloth Of Gold, the Ladies Flight Shoot and came 2nd in the Ladies At The Mark and in 2011 she won the Ladies Cloth of Gold and the Ladies Flight!
